BMO Bank of Montreal Announces Anchor Tenant Agreement

On December 3, 2008, BMO Bank of Montreal announced that it had entered into an agreement with a subsidiary of First Gulf Corporation ("First Gulf") and Sun Life Financial ("Sun Life") to be the anchor tenant in a new LEED-certified, state-of-the-art office building, First Meadowvale Corporate Centre in Meadowvale. 

First Gulf and Sun Life are investing C$75 million dollars to build the largest new office building in Mississauga.  Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2010. 

First Gulf and Sun Life were represented by Minden Gross LLP with a team of Leonard E. Baranek, Adam L. Perzow and Monica E. Bianchini, Sun Life was advised by in-house counsel, Glen Copeland, and BMO Bank of Montreal was represented by Lang Michener LLP, William A. Rowlands with assistance from Brenda Dunning, leasing clerk.
